DPF Process
Step 1
Diagnostic Inspection with HD Endoscope
We remove the sensors and inspect the DPF from both inlet and outlet sides using a high-definition endoscope. This lets us identify soot vs. ash build up, spot any cracks or melted cells, and confirm the filter is a good candidate for cleaning rather than replacement.
Step 2
Baseline Back Pressure & Flow Check
We record differential pressure (back pressure) and airflow before cleaning to set a baseline. This helps quantify restriction levels and gives us a clear before/after result once the clean is complete.
Step 3
Targeted Chemical Pre Soak
A specialist, DPF safe cleaning agent is applied to soften compacted soot and ash in the channels. It’s allowed to dwell for the correct time, then neutralised. This step breaks down stubborn deposits the flush alone can’t remove.
Step 4
Heated Degreasing Flush
Using temperature controlled hot water and degreasing solution, we flush the DPF in both reverse and forward directions to push loosened debris out of the substrate without damaging the honeycomb structure.
Step 5
Controlled Hot-Air Drying
The filter is dried with evenly distributed hot air to remove moisture completely and prevent thermal shock. Once dry, we re-inspect the cells to ensure they’re clear and intact.
Step 6
Final Flow Test, Refit & Reset
We perform a post-clean flow and back-pressure test and compare against the baseline. If the results meet spec, we refit the DPF with new gaskets where required, clear fault codes, and reset DPF counters. A verification road test confirms normal regen behaviour.
You’ll receive a results report and our 12-month warranty on the clean.
